Homemade performance with concentrated black soap

This DIY recipe was designed to provide real dishwasher effectiveness, while remaining simple and realistic for home use.

RECIPE – POWDER BASE (≈ 1 kg)

• 450 g sodium carbonate (washing soda)
  → Powerful degreaser, essential alkalinity for washing

• 300 g sodium percarbonate
  → Active oxygen: stains, odors, tea, coffee

• 200 g sodium bicarbonate
  → Stabilizes the formula, aids rinsing

Preparation

1. Wear gloves (alkaline powders)

2. Carefully mix all ingredients dry

3. Store in an airtight container, away from moisture

** Do not add black soap to this mixture.

➕ ADDING BLACK SOAP (AT WASHING TIME)

Use concentrated liquid black soap.

• ½ to 1 tsp (2 to 5 ml) per cycle

• Pour directly into the detergent dispenser, over the powder
  
  ** Black soap acts as a degreasing booster (sauces, cooked fats), while remaining dishwasher compatible when properly dosed.

DOSAGE PER CYCLE

**Tip: more black soap ≠ more effective. The right dosage makes all the difference.

RINSE AID (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

To put in the rinse aid compartment:

• White vinegar or

• Diluted citric acid (1 tbsp in 250 ml water)

Essential for:

• avoiding white streaks

• improving shine

• neutralizing water minerals

 IMPORTANT TIPS

• ✔️ Use a cycle ≥ 55 °C (activates percarbonate)

• ✔️ Clean the dishwasher filter once a month

• ✔️ Store powder in a dry place
