100 ml black soap
1 liter hot water (60–70 °C)
2 tbsp washing soda crystals
2 tbsp baking soda

Citric acid and vinegar should not be added directly to liquid laundry detergent, as they can cause flaking (reaction with the soap).

Heat the water to about 60–70 °C.
Pour the water into a large heat-resistant container.
Add the black soap, then the washing soda crystals, baking soda, and citric acid gradually, mixing well.
Let it cool, then add 1 liter of cold water.
Add essential oils if desired.
Pour into a bottle (2 L type container).
Label and shake before each use.

Instructions for use

Quantity per load: 150 ml for a standard machine
Optional additions:
– 1 tbsp sodium percarbonate for whites or heavily soiled laundry (directly in the drum)
– 50 ml household vinegar with 5 drops of essential oil as a fabric softener
